2. Security Installations

WCG security installs home and business alarm systems that will comply with your insurance company’s requirements and may even lower premiums. All WCG Security systems are designed to be easy to operate and provide comprehensive intrusion detection and protection. Once your security system is armed, any intrusion or other action that activates an alarm is immediately reported to a 24-hour alarm monitoring control room which is based in the Wollongong region. From there, our certified monitoring control room operators will keep you informed and if necessary, notify the police.
Yes! With modern pet sensitive motion sensors (Tritech detectors), you can secure your home in the knowledge that your pets can roam throughout your home/business.
Your alarm system has a backup battery and will still operate as normal. Our control room will be aware that there has been a mains failure and will do an area check to establish if the power is out in your district. If yours is an isolated case, they will contact the key holder if the power has not restored within the hour or your designated response person to see why there is a power failure. If the power is out for a duration the monitoring station will notify the response person that the battery is low
With the programmable control panel we use, you are able to specify certain areas to be alarmed. For instance, if you have a two storey property and would like the downstairs secured overnight whilst you sleep upstairs, this can all be programmed for ease of use with the keypad. We can also add many users each with their unique code as well!
NO! We have no fixed term contracts however should you require one it is optional. If you wish to have your system monitored, we can provide all levels of alarm monitoring at competitive prices with no minimum term contracts to sign. Ask us about our various options.
All our alarms have the ability to be hard wired or wireless or even a combination of both. Whether you have constricted space or concrete sections throughout your premises our wireless detectors and other devices are a great way to ensure they get secured.
WCG Security only use quality equipment and all work is performed within Australian Standards AS2201.1, 3,4. Our products come with manufacturer’s warranty from 12 months to 3 years. We are able to monitor smoke detectors. We are then able to notify the nominated key holder or emergency services should the need arise (a telephone call will be made to the property in the first instance to check for false alerts).
The advantages of a monitored system include the peace of mind of knowing that even when you aren’t there, your home is being monitored 24 hours per day, every day and, in the event of an alarm situation, you, your nominated key holders and the relevant emergency providers can be alerted to a potential burglary, fire or medical emergency.

We provide security solutions to a range of businesses in Wollongong. We recently designed a gym in Wollongong a security system that enabled them to control all aspects of the security via their smartphone. This is one of many options for commercial security solutions as WCG Security will tailor each installation to the individual needs of the client. Mostly any business will benefit from having security systems in-place for not only a deterrent but also for when things go wrong and when that does happen, you’ll never regret having the systems in place. WCG Security offer a range of options for businesses such as Security cameras, Alarms and 24/7 monitoring of both if that is something your business would like to investigate.

If you want a complete commercial installation done, then WCG Security is the company you’ll want to hire. We have been installing these systems for several years with the experience that shows when we do the job. This experience can be taught or bought with aspects of the installation that we understand such as Camera positioning for the best vantage and coverage. We understand the needs of businesses through the years of experience and offer much more than anyone else can in the Illawarra. We can install alarms, cameras, sensors as well as monitor them on a continual basis for your business. We also go that step further, having a dedicated team of security guards that are on the road 24/7 responding to any alarms or sensors for the businesses of Wollongong.
We are the leaders through our years of experience installing, monitoring, and maintaining security cameras and alarms at businesses and government spaces such as Department of Education sites. We provide retail security a number of options for securing their business, whether it be a security system installed by us, or a security guard to patrol the premises, stand at the front door or if you require staff escorts during night hours, we have you covered from every aspect and already service hundreds of businesses around the Illawarra region in all of the services above. We are the clear choice for all integrated security systems, especially for any retail outlet looking for a professional security service.

5. Home Security

Our security alarm systems are monitored alarms, either by you or professionally monitored by our 24/7 monitoring centre. They will alert you via your smartphone or if you would like to be monitored by us, alert our Security Controlroom for a rapid response team to send out security guards to respond or police depending on the scenario.

There are several options for homeowners looking to secure their property and they should be broken down into 2 different services. The two differing services are self-monitored or professionally monitored. This means that either your security system will be self-monitored by the homeowner through a smart phone or tablet with alerts set up to notify the owner of any alarm triggers or motion sensor activations. Alternatively, this can be done by us professionally, with a team of security guards ready to respond to any alerts and trained in security responses.

That is purely dependent on the outcomes and expectations of what you have for your home. When considering cameras for your home, people likely think of the options they are seeing in tech shops being advertised as the best DIY home security system. While this is attractive on the prices, the quality of the cameras and installation are never comparable to a hardwired system installed by professionals. We provide a large range of options for a homeowner to consider with 3 brands we consistently use and have experience with. We provide the option of what you would consider a more cost-effective camera system such as the Uniview and Dahua security cameras, as well as the premium option of the HIKvision cameras. Hikvision have an 8MP camera which is equivalent to the commonly known 4k cameras and there are several levels with the Uniview cameras as well. But the benefit having your home security camera installation done by WCG Security is paramount when weighing up the benefits of having a hardwired system with no faults, supplied by locals, with tech support 24/7. Tech support for the other brands you will find in the DIY section is typically via a call Centre with overseas support leaving you helpless in times of need.
